Index / Grand Rapids / SecondLocations of Second ReformedSecond Reformed began as a Dutch-speaking immigrant subgroup of First Reformed and shared worship space at Michigan and Ottawa (#1 on map) with them from 1847 until 1870. In 1870, the congregation built a 1,000 seat sanctuary on Bostwick nearl Lyon (#2), which they used until 1918. The facility burned in 1895 and the church rebuilt on the same site. Second Reformed merged with First in 1918 to become Central Reformed. Go to main Second Reformed page. |
