Historical Profile: Central Reformed Church
Plainfield, New Jersey
Central Reformed Church was organized in 1863. Rev. Smith and a large portion of the membership withdrew to the Congregational Church in 1872. Central disbanded in 1880 and most of its members joined Trinity Reformed (now of North Plainfield).
